With regards to our great City of Salford,the proposals put forward by the Boundary Commission for England are outrageous. We need to retain our two constituencies so that we do not have a limited voice in parliament. I do not want Salford to lose its identity as a city, with the core such as Salford Cathedral; Salford University; Salford Royal Foundation Hospital Trust; Shopping City and the Quays going into a Manchester parliamentary constituency.
I have signed the council petition and voted for the council resolution opposing these proposals;posted my objections on the commission website; joined the facebook group (Save Our Salford) and sent a letter of protest to the commission.
